I promise, more inspired posts are a possiblilty
Canada Day
Saturday was Canada day here. The Candadian equivalent to Fourth of July. Jim Miller Dropped off a bike for me to use to get around town while I am herebut the tire quickly went flast and the pump he gave me didn't work, so I walked around to visit people who lived nearby. Unfortunatly they were all out, so I trekked to downtown by the shore to see what was going on. I wandered around the festivities before trekking back to the house. I watched September Sessions, a surf movie by Jack Johnson, worked out the kinks in a worship set, then after listening to some Fireworks I went to sleep.
Other News-
1. I helped weave a ceremonial headband for myself with the help of Jim. Its made from Cedar wood. Thin strips are torn away from the inside of the bark and then woven together to make it. The headbands are an ancient tradition of the first nations people used when singing or dancing. I also learned to make rope from thin strands of soaked cedar wood another ancient tradition.
2. I helped do some recording and even laid down a minor guitar part that they liked for one of the songs.
3. I want to fish, but licences are ludicrously expensive here for foreigners sad
4. Longboarding- Possibly the coolest way to get anywhere. Cooler than normal skateboarding. I was at the millers learning how to heal a surfboard (one of Ben's that he rammed into the bottom) when Brian handed me one of his boards and told me to go at it. So I did, with a little instruction I soon was getting the hang of it scooting around some hills. Did you know that you can go 40mph+ on a longboard and still have perfect control? Its the length. Not that I've done it, but people do it. Anyway, This is a skill I would like to develop ;) Im thinking about building my own board...
5. Surfing-So another thing I might have a chance to do while Im out here is Surfing :):) Pray for me. All the guys out here who work with songs to the creator surf and longboard, so they are all itching to go out to the west side of the island to hit the waves, I would tag along of course.
6. Transcription-Wow, lots of work to do

Greetings From Canada!
So Ive been tardy in blogging, and in posting pictures but now I hope to make up for it! So heres some pictures.
The snow capped mountain is Mt. Ranier which we flew right by on our way into Seattle, On the way I managed to snap a few shots out the window leaning over the lady next to me.
the rest of the pictures are random shots of the canadian border, the bus ride from seattle to vancouver, shots from the ferry, beach shots, and theres one of me and Emily Alsbach, a MK from Saskatchewan.
